Corey Clayborne, FAIA, NOMA, MBA, CAE currently serves as the Executive Vice President and chief executive of the Virginia component of the American Institute of Architects. AIA Virginia is the voice of the architecture profession in the Commonwealth, dedicated to serving its members, advancing their value, and improving the quality of the built environment. In this position, he is responsible for the success of the Advocacy, Education, Outreach, and Member Services portfolios. In 2020, he was elevated into the AIA’s prestigious College of Fellows. Only about 3% of the organization’s 94,000+ members hold this distinction. Prior to this role, Corey practiced as an architect in private practice for 13 years serving as a project manager for local, state, and federal clients.
Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE is the newly appointed CEO and President of ASAE, she was selected the 2020 Professional Society CEO of the Year by CEO Update, and is passionate about working in the community she serves.
